Ft. Worth, TX - July 6, 2010 - Zeotech Corporation announced today that the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) has reviewed Zeotech Corporation’s soil amendment product, ZeoMax® Turf-Aid® . OMRI has determined that ZeoMax® Turf-Aid® is allowed for use in the General Material Listing of Zeolite. It is included under the classification of Crop Fertilizers and Soil Amendments. The awarding of the OMRI listing indicates that ZeoMax® Turf-Aid® complies with the OMRI Policy and Standards Manual, which is based on the requirements of the USDA National Organic Program Rule (7 CFR Part 205). ZeoMax® Turf-Aid® will be listed in the OMRI Products List, available on the OMRI website and published annually. ZeoMax® Turf-Aid® is an all natural zeolite product that improves the ability of soil and other growing media to retain water and nutrients by improving Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC). CEC is a value used in soil analysis to indicate how well soil holds nutrients. When added to soil or growing media, ZeoMax® Turf-Aid® can also improve the texture of the growing media by reducing density, providing better conditions for root growth, while also improving the levels of water, air, and nutrients being exchanged with the roots. Better root systems provide more resilient plantings in high traffic areas.
