Street Fighter has grown a great reputation for being a fabulous and interesting fighting game for all fans. The Xbox 360 version has swept the nation and added so many great things to it that it still has the calling of the old versions. There are lots of characters, fancy moves, stunning attacks and unlockable characters, art and titles to find as you get better and better. Characters are a big part of the Super Street Fighter IV game. Ken is back doing his character proud as always. The game would not be the same without him. There are twenty five plus cool characters such as El Fuerte, Abel, Rose, Rufus, Chun Li and of course Ryu comes back to make his Xbox debut. Others can be unlocked with superb performance as you play. All these awesome characters are capable of normal attacks and also have ultra combos that really kick butt on the opponents. What kind of game would it be without super combos that truly beat down the opposition; no kind of game. Each special attack requires special button combos like the old games. They take a little ingenuity but are too cool not to learn. The official web site has downloads available for everyone. There is a PDF guide, a Gen combo video and strategy guide, Rufus strategies and Viper combos and strategies for how to get the most out of the character and his fighting skills. The super combo and ultra combo can only be used when the revenge meter has filled. Once it has gotten to at least half these open up for the character and you can do some serious whooping on them. The meter fills as you take more hits. Just like in Jackie Chan movies, as the enemy hits you, you get madder until finally you lose it and sweep out the old jazzy stuff making them pay. There is challenge mode just like before too. When you play the challenges against Ryu, C Viper, Abel or Chun Li you open the artwork. There are several awesome items in this view to work for. Icons can be unlocked too. They come to you when you play online. The web site will give a complete list of what and who you must beat to earn the ability to use them. There is hyper armor too. When using it you can take a hit without losing focus. To use the focus attack you must push the MP + MK buttons. This is an easy way to really go after the other guy. Blocking is still an option for the game too. When you block an attack you are subjected to a stunning effect. This means you are helpless to defend yourself for a second and your opponent can take advantage of it easily. There are ways around it too but you will have to experience the game to do so. All the cool features here have always been the reason that there is a long list of fans who have been playing this game for years. The fact that they can now use completely integrated software to play with their friends across town or across the United States just makes it that much better.
