We are a brand new baby unit that accomodates for children from birth to two years of age. We have our other nursery Twinkling Toddlers which is located over at the Tyseley Community Centre that caters for the children from 2 years to five. We have a separate site to support our baby unit which has been purposely designed to care for and encourage your babies development. We employ qualified experienced, loving staff to cater for all your babies requirements. Children are stimulated and settled in the nursery environment where they feel secure and supported by the staff. Ofsted Report 2010 Our baby unit has been particularly designed to present your baby a happy situation with safe floor space for crawling and moving around. We have different areas for the children to access which features a soft floor play area, sensory area, creative and messy play area and a relaxing quiet area. The staff actively encourage the uniqueness and individuality of each baby They make available a good quality selection of age-relevant activities and resources to make certain all children can participate in all play opportunities in spite of of gender, background, ability or disability.Ofsted Report 2010 All children and families are highly valued and in discussion one parent explained that she is most happy with the care provided for her baby and that he has made significant progress in his milestones since starting at the nursery school. The baby's parent explained that she is always in a hurry when dropping off and collecting her baby but that she receives verbal feedback about her baby's progress each day. Staff engage all parents in discussion at drop off time. These discussions make sure kids's needs are met and include information such as last feed, last nappy change and sleep times.Ofsted Report 2010 Children are making advance as they enjoy a choice of stimulating and enjoyable activities. They are very settled and relaxed and are mostly given a high level of promote that makes sure that they move forward fully as individuals. Information is obtained about kids’s starting points and developing written observations and assessments of children’s improve ensure all aspects of independent needs are met. Although kids are not yet counting, staff still encourage children to recognise numbers as they play with the kids during a construction activity. Staff name the colours and numbers of bricks in the tower and support kids to repeat the words. Small muscle skills are encouraged through the use of a wide range of writing and drawing activities.
