Princess Yachts International Plc is a first-rate example of a business that has been successful in mastering a number of the main problems of the world-wide economic emergency. Only several weeks after making the announcement about the staff cuts, Princess Yachts secured a lease which gave them their move to a new site in the South Yard area of Devonport Naval Base, also in Plymouth. This larger new facility afforded the boat manufacturer the freedom required to accommodate the large yacht building that would give it a renewed competitive edge. Of late, Princess Yachts was given the prestigious "Boat of the Year Award" for the Sports Cruiser Class. The honor was given at the London International Boat Show, and the prize-winning vessel was Princess Yachts? Princess V62. It is the 2nd year back to back the manufacturer takes the reward in this group, strengthening its competence of the performance motor yacht field.
