Papayas, shaped like pears, flesh in rich orange when ripe and containing black round seeds are deliciously sweet fruits with numerous health benefits.

Enjoyed by people of all ages, papaya fruit is a rich source of dietary fiber, folate, vitamin A, C and E. It also contains small amount of calcium, iron, riboflavin, thiamine and niacine. It is also very rich in antioxidant nutrients flavonoids and carotenes, very high in vitamin C and A, and low in calories and sodium. Papaya contains papain, an enzyme that aids in digestion.
There are many health benefits gained from eating papayas regularly. However some of the common benefits are:
