Construct a playhouse and encourage your kids to play outside. Are you concerned that your kids will not play outdoors like little ones used to? Do you recall enjoying outside with the neighborhood children, skate boarding, hide and go seek, a a fort or playhouse? Now that children spend so much time playing Wii or watching limitless hours of tv, they don't run around the way youngsters used to and to be frank, they are getting fat. Why don't you build a playhouse for your children? Far better, allow it to be a family venture and get them involved. Allow your kids to help choose the designs. Do they want it it be a playhouse or a fort? What kind of trim and accessories do they want it have? Do they want it to have a swing? A front porch? What colors should it be? After you've got the designs picked out, let your children help with the building so far as they're able. Perhaps a four-year-old are only able to hand you a handful of nails before they lose interest, however when that youngster gets older, they'll recall how they helped Daddy assemble the playhouse. An eight- or nine-year-old can drive nails and with supervision, cut wood. Any one can paint, kind of. Do not neglect to take pictures. And once it is finished, the authentic magic takes place. The children will go and play outdoors. The playhouse becomes a show place, a rocket ship, a frontier fort or a castle. Other kids will come to play at your house. Now is a very good time to get your kids to the habit of having their good friends over. You will be glad to find out who their close friends are once they get to be teenagers. Don't delay. Boys and girls will losing their childhood before you know it. Even if you don't have much in the way of building skills, you can make a playhouse you should be proud and your sons and daughters will simply adore. All you will need is a desire and a great set of easy-to-follow, step-by-step playhouse plans.
