Beatrix Potter whose actual first name was Helen, was an British author and illustrator who was most widely known for her kid's publications featuring animal figures like in the youngster's classic - The Tale of Peter Rabbit. Beatrix was in fact born into a privileged household where she was educated by private teachers and so grew up separated from other children. She had several domestic pets and spent holidays in Scotland as well as the Lake District where she developed a fondness of the scenery, plants and creatures, all of which she meticulously viewed and painted. This triggered a breach with her parents, whom did not approve of her marrying someone of lower social standing. Regrettably however, Warne passed on ahead of the wedding ceremony. Ultimately Beatrix Potter began writing and also illustrating kid's publications fulltime. Using the proceeds from her books, Beatrix grew to become economically independent of her mother and father and was in due course n a position to acquire Hill Top Farm in the Lake District. She extended the property with various other purchases over time. In her forties, she married William Heelis, a local solicitor. She finished up becoming a sheep breeder and also farmer whilst continuing to write and also illustrate children's novels. In whole she published twenty-three children's books. Beatrix died on December 22nd, 1943, and left the majority of her property to the National Trust. Her books carry on selling well internationally, in a wide range of languages.
