By: Lorna Maralack

There has been a era when breast feeding was the only way by which newborn infants were being fed. For thousands of years breast milk was the only milk given to newborn human babies. If an infant's natural mother could not give him breast milk, a ‘wet nurse’ would be doing the breast feeding. Breast lactating infants, was the only option to feed a new baby.
Then bottle feeding and ‘artificial milks’ came into use . As bottle feeding became going by scientific rules, it has increased in popularity and the scientific rules which regulated bottle feeding was even applied to breast lactating. In our times we are almost making a new discovery regarding breastfeeding infants as if bottle feeding came first.

I am so glad that I have opened up to the benefits of breast lactating! I so enjoyed breast feeding my children. My eldest was breastfed for twenty two months and my youngest is still breastfeeding at fifteen months. Breast feeding helps to strengthen the bond between you and your baby in a unique way. Both my babies are really close to me.
I experienced a lot of breast lactating difficulties with my firstborn, but as I have been clued-up about the advantages of breastfeeding for me and my baby, I decided not to let go. It was not an easy road as both my babies arrived prematurely. What's more with my eldest I experienced many problems that could have been prevented if I understood a number of features of breast lactating more plainly. I discovered how to stop and nurse many a obstacle by means of some painful trial and error. With all that I have been through with my eldest, I was well-prepared for breast feeding my youngest.
I read up a lot on breast feeding since I was quite determined to succeed at breast feeding. I discovered what the expert’s was saying versus what certainly works. The expert’s instruction does not always work so well or is relevant regarding the practical application. This study in combination with my real experience whilebreast feeding my eldest has been valuable preparation for breast lactating my youngest. Being educated with regard to what really works is truly worth it!
