Typically, all the new GPS systems will have a good amount, but you might want to check just to be safe. The next thing you will want to take a look at after the points of interest is the size of the screen. You need to decide whether you want to go with a big screen or a small screen. A screen that is somewhere between five to seven inches is perfect if you would like it to be big, if you want a smaller one then look for a screen around 2.5 inches. If I were you I would typically try to stay away from the GPS systems that will allow you to play music through them because these are way more expensive and most cars already have the radio. An important thing when looking at GPS systems is deciding exactly what you will be using it for. If you drive a lot for work it is worth it to spend a little extra money on a system that will give you live traffic updates. You will not be needing this feature if you do not drive often or you are just interested in getting the directions to a place. The newest GPS systems actually have a text to voice capability which means it will actually tell you what street to turn on and in how many miles. This will allow you to concentrate on driving rather than having to look at the screen all the time.
