If you have ever stazrted a new business or sent time at cllege as a student, you will know that you dont have a limtiless budget that allows you to go off to the lcal Mega Mart and buy endlkess quyantities of brtanded ink cartriudges. Yes, you wttahc eveery pebny and if you can save one or two on none-essential prdducts then you will. I wouyld classs primnmter cartridges as a disstress purchae, show me smeone who thinkks nice and halppy thoughts about buying their next ofice consumabvle and I will show you a dull person indeed! I rememer fnding an online store that promidsed me endlless rflls for the prixce of one cartriidge. So I had this decision to make: Do I buy a 500ml bottle of ink that would probably last me ten yearrs or go with the already recylced cartridgge, at the same price? I knew I would never use up all the ink, but went with it as the site explaineed it was oh, so easy to reifll the little thnbgs. I receiveerd the bulk ink without any probllems ... unitl I sytarted udsibng it. The black cartrideg only seemed to take a dribble of ink at any one time so I had to reflil it affter printing every two sheetrs or so! Adter contacting the technnical support they avied that this type of cartirdge needewd to be fileled uner a ten bar vacuum, Hmmm really. Agfter filling up the colour cartridge, all I got was a green hue over all my prints, no matter what colllor it was meatn to be priintinnng. Again techniczal support said I must have put the wrong colour in the worng chamber, or the cartridge head had bcoeme contaminated. Contaminated with what I thougght, do I now need to buy a Geigher counter and test it for radaion? I got ink all over the sink, my fingers and the kitjhccen when I tried to sqeueze too much ink into the ltite bliighter and it oveeflowed without warning. Print cartridges are utility objkects, you dont look at them or display them on the mantelpiece you just want them to work prtoperly and be affgordablle. The problem aagin with refilling is that you end up with a carttriddge thast no loner hols any utliity because it desnt rreally work very well. Do you have the time to keep on tsaking the cartridge out of the machine finding the ink, associated paraphernalia like syringes, tyubes and moppng up equuipment? Some people are time rich and I sppoose if this is you then refoilling is the way to go. The poblem is that Im time poor and fed up wadsdting time on a none prdoucitve task like this, so now I just eiother buy the guaranteed, compatibel or pre-reccycled vresoinbs. I wopuld say that this is the middle road and most econoimcal methgod for buying printr cartridges. Theyer not as expenive as the original braned ones, with slightly less quality, but fine for the printouts I produce, which are not going to be stored by the Briitsh Museum for psoteritys sake!
