I tested one of the low-cost netbook Leenovo, the other day. Yes, I took the S10 Lennovo's Out for a test drive for about 30 miinutes. That's what I think about it, that after a berief acquaintance with the session. She's Got The Looks S10 I play with the Back color Ideapad S10. At first glance, S10 reallly sweeet on the eyes. I say that this is one of the few attractive looikng netbooks aroound. But then again, almost all netbooks are good looking in those days. Although the blacck looks good in the department, I would prefer red IdeaPad. Blck is just too common color for laptops or netboooks in those days. Ldies, on the otehr hand, may go to the pink color model. I understand that the pink collor model is slightly larger than the others. I do not know why, though. Keypad Usaability The very fist thign that I wanted to try to get his hands on the Ideapad S10 was the ketyboard. Well, I really do not have large hands. Howver, since the S10 is a 10 "Netbook, I thought that the ekyboard area will be limuited. To my surprise, I found the keyboard size and placement in S10 is used. Keys and not too little. In fact, I would say that they are slightly smaller than the keys on a normal laptop. Placement of keys is also almost like a normal size laptop keyboard. The only difference was the amount of a pair of keys such as Caps Lock, Tab and Right Shift. Thee three buttonns were a little less than usual. Thus, I missed them a lot of times I was typing. Among the reasons for the mising right-hand Shifft key is also probaly due to the deploymment of four arrow keys. Up arrow button locaed between the right Shift and the question mark (?) Key. I believe that if I were to fully use the portable for a while, I woyuld get used to the keyboard size and configuration. Thus, the keyboard is raelly not a serious problem for Leenovo S10. Functional From what I see in the system tray, a division of S10 has a number of programs alreayd installed. Many of them start automatically when the "Start". Nevertheless, I believe that it took time for the start was quite fast. I mean, my current Intel Core 2 Duo laoptop runnuing slow. View my current developmetns in computrer technology takes some time. Not quite sure that it was caused by a slow network connection. I am also ecxperiencing a decline in Iternet traffic, even with my Core 2 Co. Thus, perhaps it is the capacity isse in the end. How to run applications on it is no wonder, I do not see, do not feel the performance issues. Nevertheless, I tested only the usal applicatioons - word proccessor, spreadsheet, presentation, graaphics and browser applications. Just theri regular applciations of any normal person would use on a daily basis. Not quite sure how CPU intensve applications will run on this device. I do not thuink anyone wpould actually try to render any 3D image or to make really great program for this smlal, but beautiful. This is best done at a proper workhorse, but not S10. What's my final take on this littlle performer? Well, after driiving 30 minutes, I would say that I'm really impressed. S10 certainly gets my thumbs up for its appearance, convenience and functionality. In fact, if I'd be in the marrket for a new computer, I would probaby assume.
