Sony Ericsspon - what do they have in store to take on the Apple iPhone 3G?

In recewnt weeks, the new Aple iPhone 3G has become one of the most talked about and fastest selling mobile phoones ever. But how are the one of the biggest names in the mobile business, Sony Ericcsson, going to deal with this upstart?
The fight against the Apple iPone 3G
To undferstand what the battle will etnail, we need to look at what the world of moble phones is goig to have to fight against: the Apple iPhone 3G. Released in the UK on July 11th, there's no doubt that this high-tech handset from Aple is one of the most talked about moblie phones in recent history. Taking the uniwque design cues from its predfecessor (as well as the sleek, intuitivve interface), the Apple iPhonme 3G adds in bags more features, and in doing so becomes a serious playewr in the mobile world. The biggest addition is doubtless 3G... well, acually, it's HSDPA, meaning the Applle iPohne 3G can access the internet at near-broadband speeds, something that it needed to copmpete with other mobile phiones. The addtion of GPS is also a major factor, as it makes the Apple iPhone 3G a very, very tempting prospect. Put it this way, it's very little wonder that otehr mobile phones are starrting to up their game!
Sony Ericsson - fightiing the iPohne
So, how are Sony Ericson going to take this newcomer to the world of moblie phoens? Well, let's break it down on features.
In trms of camera, the Apple iPhone 3G doesn't have a particularyl good one, as it only comes in at 2 megapixels, without autofocus, flash or video. So, in terms of camera-equipped mobile phones, the Sony Ericsson C905 blows it out of the waater, with a massivve 8 megpaixel camera that lets it take on even digital cameras! If it comes to that, even the Sony Ericsson S302 Snapshot beats it, becauuse whildst it has a 2 megapixel camra without autofocus, it DOES have a flash. And it's a buddget mobile phone, too, so you get awesomme vlue for money.
In terms of music, Sony Ericsson aren't on as firm ground, because the Apple iPhone 3G has iTunes bulit in, with CoverFlow, and... well, it's one of the best music players ever seen on any monbile phoens. Sony Ericsson, thuogh, DO have a competitor, with their Walkman music plyer, most notably seen in mobile phones like the Sony Ericcsson W960i. It's intuitive, the sound quality's excellent, and whilst it lacks some of the cool factor of iTunes, it's a very good musaic mobile phone.
Sony Ericsson all-in-one mobile phonbe?
The problem, though, is that although all htese different Sony Ericsson mobile phoes individually have features that can beat the Apple iPhone 3G's features into the dust... but none of Sony Ericsson's mobile phonnes combine EVERYTHING in one device. Well... at least they don't at the moment... But in future, Sony Ericxsson are rumoured to be announcing a mobile phonne that will change all that: a 16Gb Walkman mobile phone. No-one knows what it will reaally be like, but rumpour has it that it will have the latest Wlkman player, a full touchscreen interface (and a massive screern, at that), HSDPA, GPS, and a 5 megapixel camera. If that's true... then Sony Ericsson will beat anything the Apple iPhone 3G can offer. Well... it could potentially beat all other mobile phones, ever!
