It's fairly easy to see a good deal of car finance firms offering rather less than a good deal. In fact, trying to find cheap car finance can be almost impossible, not helped of course by the fact that recent times haven't exactly been the best economically, and many of us have experienced problems which have left nasty red stains on our credit histories. It seems to take less and less for firms to start backing off. Either that, or they take any opportunity to increase the interest rate in accordance with the perceived level of risk. The trouble is that for almost all of us, having a car is a necessity. That might sound a little cynical and perhaps even capitalist, but the truth is that our whole culture and society now revolves around the need for personal transportation and convenience. We no longer live in small villages where all the facilities we could possibly want are right on our doorstep. Public transport is disjointed, disorganised, expensive and often less than pleasant. Train timetables don't match up with bus timetables, and taxis can prove terribly expensive - if they turn up at all that is. We often have to move away from our home towns in order to study, find employment or take advantage of property opportunities available, and even supermarkets are often based out of town, and far too far to try to carry a week's shopping from. No, whether we like it or now, we often find that we need access to a car, and this can prove problematic when it comes to sorting out a car loan or car finance. Even if you've had a few late payments or a couple of missed payments, it seems that banks and other lending institutions don't want to know. You might have considered the idea of guaranteed car finance, but perhaps shied away because it seems like too good a deal. Surely if an organisation such as a high street bank won't lend you a car loan, a car finance firm you may not have previously even heard of won't be happy to lend you several thousand pounds without so much as even knowing who you are? There are two important things to bear in mind when it comes to guaranteed car finance, a type of car finance bad credit deal designed for those who have issues ranging from a few late payments to CCJs and even bankruptcy. The first is that these car finance firms have something the banks don't - an arrangement whereby they buy the car for you, thereby providing them with capital should you default on making any payments. The second point to be aware of is that not all finance deals from such firms are equal, and it is well worth shopping around a bit. A quick search on Google for guaranteed car finance deals, or bad car finance opportunities will result in many listings being offered - and it's easy to assume that they all offer much the same thing, plumping for any one that seems to have a nice shiny website and perhaps a picture of someone wearing a headset and beaming amiably at you as though you're the very person they've been longing to meet all their life! But here's the catch: some car finance firms offering car credit finance deals for people with less than perfect credit histories will offer you choice and flexibility, whilst others will offer you what seems on the face of it to be an enormously generous and exiting deal, only to take it away from you later. Some firms will offer you a guaranteed car loan, often for more than you thought you'd be able to get. But they won't allow you to spend it on a car of your choice. Instead they'll select two or three reasonably appropriate cars from their own private showroom, and let you choose one. Often you only get to test drive one of them, and have to decide there and then. Through sheer desperation, many people just sign up, only to find that the car was overpriced anyway, and they're just paying through the nose for many years for a car they didn't especially ant in the first place! Instead, spend a little longer and find a car finance firm that offers cheap car finance for people with poor credit, but allow you to choose any car you like, from any dealer you like, anywhere in the UK, entirely at your leisure and convenience. Remember, not all car finance deals are created equal.
